RARE LIVE - A CONCERT THROUGH TIME AND SPACE 「レア・ライヴ」 / QUEEN (1989)

    

こちらは「Rare Live - A Concert Through Time And Space / レア・ライヴ」というタイトルを見ても分かるように、クイーンのレアなライヴ映像を集めた映像作品（レーザー・ディスク）。

中でも特に印象的な映像はと言えば、やはり「Sheer Heart Attack / シアー・ハート・アタック」だろうと思う。

と言うのも、ここに収録されている"Sheer Heart Attack"は、前半こそはクレジット（映像及びジャケットの裏側に曲名と共に記載）されているように1977年のヒューストン公演の映像ながらも、その後は時を隔て様々な公演地で暴れまくるフレディの姿が次から次へと挟み込まれており、このようなワイルドなフレディの姿は他の作品では中々観れるものではないのだ。

又、「My Melancholy Blues / マイ・メランコリー・ブルース」や「You Take My Breath Away / テイク・マイ・ブレス・アウェイ」といった曲のライヴも他の作品では滅多にお目にかかれない正にレアな映像。

日本ではこのレーザー・ディスクの他に、VHSでもリリースされていたが、その後もDVD化はされていないようだ。
