こちらはエンヤ初のベストアルバムとして1997年にリリースされた「Paint the Sky with Stars - The Best of Enya / ペイント・ザ・スカイ ～ ザ・ベスト・オブ・エンヤ」。
エンヤのベスト・アルバムと言えば、2009年にリリースされた「The Very Best of Enya / エンヤ～オールタイム・ベスト」の方が、より近年にリリースされたベスト・アルバムということもあり、一般的には知られるところではないかと思うのだが、自分の場合は、今でもやっぱりエンヤのベストと言えば、この"Paint the Sky with Stars - The Best of Enya"が代表格だと思っている。
と言うのも、新曲として収録され、アルバムのタイトルにもなっている「Paint the Sky with Stars / ペイント・ザ・スカイ」のイメージに沿ったトータル・アートワークがとても素晴らしく、ベスト・アルバムと言えども、イメージ的にはひとつのアルバムとしての一体感があるんだよね（今にして思えば、浮き沈みの激しい音楽業界に於いて、デビューから10年を過ぎて初のベスト・アルバムをリリースというのもなんだか凄いなぁと）。
収録されているのは、デビューアルバムの"Enya (The Celts)" [1987] から2曲、2作目の"Watermark" [1988] から4曲、3作目の"Shepherd Moons" [1991] から4曲、4作目の"The Memory of Trees" [1995] から4曲、そして、このベストアルバム [1997] の新曲が2曲（5曲目の"Only If..."と、12曲目の"Paint the Sky with Stars"）。そして、日本盤ボーナス・トラックの"Oiche Chiun (Silent Night)"の全17曲。なお、"Book of Days"はシングルとしてリリースされた英語ヴァージョンの方が収録されている（オリジナルアルバムの"Shepherd Moon"にはゲール語で歌われたヴァージョンが収録されている）。

ということで、まずひとつめは古き日本を舞台にした2016年公開（日本での公開は2017年）のストップモーション・アニメーションを用いたファンタジー・アクション映画（監督：トラヴィス・ナイト / 脚本：マーク・ヘイムズとクリス・バトラーのアメリカ映画）で「KUBO/クボ 二本の弦の秘密（原題：Kubo and the Two Strings）」。
まだ観ていない人もいるかと思うので、内容については触れないが、テーマ曲として使われているのは三味線を取り入れてアレンジされた「While My Guitar Gently Weeps」（ビートルズ）。
